Join us at the Des Moines Waterfront Farmers' Market to discuss the Middle Housing Regulations Update project. Des Moines is actively exploring various strategies to promote ‘middle housing’ within the City. Middle housing encompasses a diverse range of residential structures with multiple units, designed to harmonize in scale and form with single-family homes. City of Des Moines Planning staff and planning consultants from AHBL will be available to talk to Des Moines residents and anyone else who is interested in learning more or sharing input on this topic.
We invite you to stop by the city's booth any time between 10 am and 2pm on Saturday September 28, 2024. We will be there and are eager to chat with you! We want to answer your questions, explain what the project does and does not include, and listen to your thoughts and ideas as we work though our project steps and consider what will and work for the City, and how to make this work well in all the neighborhoods.
